Located in the Yakima Valley, Buena Nueva was developed by CCHS in 2003. The project consists of 36 units of rental housing for Farmworker families and singles which includes 26 units of year round housing and 10 units of migrant seasonal housing. The development includes an on site manager’s unit and a community building with an on site office. The project is located on one site and serves low income Farmworkers at or below 50% of the AMI and includes full site amenities including children’s play areas, underground sprinklers, night lighting, site fencing and circulation sidewalks. The project’s name “Buena Nueva” is Spanish that translates to the “Good News” of the Gospel.
