What is it? Rose of Mary Terrace is slated to be developed as affordable housing for seniors Who will live there? Your grandparents, your relatives & friends – anyone in our community who is 62 years of age (and over) who is at or below 50% of Yakima County’s Area Median Income (around $19,950 per year for two) How much will rent be? Rental subsidies will allow rent to be affordable - only 30% of a senior’s net adjusted monthly income (this project is a HUD 202 development) Where will it be located? Rose of Mary will be located directly west of the sports stadium, with street access from 56th Avenue Who is building this and how is it funded? Catholic Charities Housing Services has secured funds through various federal and state grants When will building begin? We hope to begin in 2007 – and complete the project in 2008 When can we sign up? We are precluded by HUD rules from starting a waiting list until late 2007 |
