Independent Living Skills
Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program helps youth develop the skills needed to make a successful transition to adulthood.
The Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program, a voluntary program, serves current and former foster youth, between the ages of 15 and 21, in Benton, Franklin, Walla Walla and Columbia Counties. It is also available on a sliding fee basis for any youth and their family who are struggling with making good choices on the road to independence. This program helps teens prepare for independence and assists them in making positive choices, accepting consequences and becoming self-directed.

The Transitional Living component is also available for youth between the ages of 18 and 21, offering assistance and mentoring to help establish housing, employment or training and basic educational requirements.
The Strategic Learning Lab (SLL) is designed to assist the IL Program youth with educational advocacy, tutoring and GED preparation.
