Family Preservation Services
Family Preservation Services strengthen families by connecting them with community resources that will help them maintain safe and nurturing homes
The goals of Family Preservation Services are to enable children to remain in the home, reunite children who have been placed outside the home with their parents and promote healthy functioning.
Our staff works with families to identify and build upon the strengths present in each family. Professionals and paraprofessionals provide:
Support and parenting education
Resource referrals |
Transportation to appointments |
Family emergency assistance |
Assistance on a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week basis |
The program is offered free of charge to eligible families for up to six months. Staff members work closely with social workers from the Division of Children and Family Services to best serve the needs of each family.
