Independent Living Skills Program:


Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program helps foster youth develop the skills needed to make a successful transition to adulthood.

The Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program serves foster youth, between the ages of 15 and 18. The program provides skills training and mentoring to teens through group trainings and one-on-one coaching to integrate skills into their daily lives. Advocacy with schools and other service providers is
offered to assess needs, along with support and guidance to address barriers to success. Program participants receive stipends for participation and support from other youth and staff as they increase their self-sufficiency.

Vocational goals

Employment

Daily living skills

Housing

Interpersonal skills

The Transitional Living Program is also available for youth between the ages of 18-21, offering assistance and mentoring to help establish housing, employment or training and basic educational requirements.
